Marketing and Communication
The focus of this morning’s sessions
is on having the students learn the key to successful sales and marketing
strategies, which is then followed by their student-company’s Sales Presentations.
The remainder of the afternoon is dedicated to learning how to successfully
communicate with an audience. Students have the opportunity to ask questions
from how to handle questions for which the answer is not known, to how to
redirect pesky, yet unrelated, questions without seeming defensive. The evening’s
Mock Press Conferences, which are attended by actual members of the media,
offer the student-companies the opportunity to role-play in an attempt to
tell the truth, tell it all, and tell if first while in a difficult, high
stakes situation and to do so with poise and dignity.
